MSME registration simplified

MSME registration has been simplified and now it’s just a click away job. An Entrepreneur having MSME Unit can register by getting Udyog Aadhar Memorandum (UAM) , “No approval from any Government office is required and applicant can generate his own UAM instantly Yes, that what has happened.
Must be wondering what is MSME?? MSME means Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises, there are two categories of enterprises: – 1) Industrial manufacturing Enterprises & 2) Service Enterprises. The classification of Industries as Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises is done on the basis of Investment in Plant & Machinery. The ceiling limit is stated as follows:

The Central Government vide gazette notification [SO No. 2576(E)] dated 18/09/2015 has simplified MSME registration by introducing the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) to promote ease of doing business. UAM replaces earlier system of obtaining Entrepreneur’s Memorandum PART I/II (MSME registration) from concerned District Industries Centre (DIC).

Procedure & Features:

• Use web‐portal http://udyogaadhaar.gov.in
• Fill a simple one‐page registration form
• No fees for Udyog aadhar registration
• Register Online –Single Page application form
• The  documents  required  for  the  registration  is  Personal  Aadhar  Number,  Industry Name,
Address, Bank Account details and some common information
• No Document required
• Self Declaration
• File more than one Udyog Aadhar for more than one unit
• UAM need to be obtained after commencement of commercial production

An entrepreneur can use his own Aadhar number for getting UAM. In case they don’t have one they can file UAM application offline with the GM of the concerned DIC.

To avoid facing any sort of difficulties in getting Govt subsidy/ incentive, an entrepreneur should fill the desired data correctly, specially selection of proper Product (NIC) Code, Date of Commencement of Commercial production, Investment in Plant & Machinery etc. otherwise UAM will show incorrect information.
