Odisha Food Processing Policy- 2022 NEW

The department of MSME, Govt. of Odisha has announced the new Food Processing Policy on 30.11.2022 with an objective to provide fiscal incentives support to boost the value addition in the sector.

Nodal Agency

The MSME Department, Govt. of Odisha is the nodal agency for the administration of the Policy.
The Director of Industries, Odisha along with Regional or District Industries Centres (RICs)/ (DICs) shall be the implementing agency.

Capital Investment Subsidy (CIS)

New and existing enterprises undertaking Expansion/ Modernization/ Diversification, with investment in Plant & Machinery up to Rs.50 crores, shall be eligible for the following:

Up to Rs. 5.00 Cr.

Enterprise set up in –

a)    Industrially backward districts

b)   Designated IDCO industrial estates/areas/Aqua parks/Food Parks located in Biju Expressway Highway corridor

Additional CIS 5% of investment in plant & machinery up to Rs. 50 lakhs over and above the specified limit in Sl. No. 1 & 2

Enterprises with Captive solar power plant Additional CIS 25% up to Rs. 25 lakhs of the cost of setting-up Captive solar power plant over and above limit in Sl. No. 1,2 and 3

Assistance for Reefer Vehicles @ 35% of the cost of standalone new reefer vehicles/ mobile pre-cooling vans up to a maximum of Rs. 25 lakhs

 

Note – For SC, ST, persons with disabilities, Women, Technical entrepreneur their stake in shareholding shall be 51% or more individually or jointly on the date of CCP.

15) Units for cutting raw tobacco and sprinkling jiggery for chewing purposes and Gudakhu manufacturing units.
16) Bottling units or any activity in respect of IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor) or liquor of any kind.
17) Re-packaging Units/ Pre-processing of oil seeds: decorticating, parching and frying.
18) Packaged drinking/ mineral water / Soft drinks and carbonated drinks.

Note: List indicated above may be modified by the Government from time to time.
