Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing a Central Sector Scheme for Creation / Expansion of Food Processing & Preservation Capacities (CEFPPC) of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) upto 2019-20. PMKSY will not only provide a big boost to the growth of food processing sector in the country but also a comprehensive package which will result in creation of modern infrastructure with efficient supply chain management from farm gate to retail outlet.
Creation/expansion and/or modernization of processing /preservation capacities will help in increasing the level of processing, value addition and thereby reduction of wastage and/or enhancing shelf life of processed product.
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries has published the Expression of Interest (EOI) and are welcoming proposals under this CEFPPC Scheme. Interested people must submit the application within 30.09.2019.
Pattern of Assistance
35% capital subsidy on the value of plant and machinery and technical civil upto a maximum limit of Rs. 5.00 Cr. in general areas and 50% capital subsidy on the value of plant and machinery and technical civil upto a maximum limit of Rs. 5.00 Cr. in the North-Eastern states, Himalayan states, state notified ITDP areas and Islands.
Basic eligibility criteria
Industries located in government approved food parks, mega food parks, agro processing clusters and industrial areas/estates will be eligible for claiming subsidy under the scheme considering all other eligibility criteria mention in the scheme.
